United Way Game Changer campaign off to a good start

The United Way Game Changer campaign has started off strong! The goal for this year’s fund raising campaign is $570,000 and United Way of Gordon County is over halfway there.

The Pace Setters businesses held their United Way campaign before the actual kick-off and have set the bar for others to follow- Georgia Bank & Trust, NorthSide Bank, Mohawk, Shaw, and Starr Mathews. “With 54 percent of the goal being reached prior to the Unity Run XXII Kickoff Event, this year’s campaign is well on its way to meet and hopefully exceed the goal,” said Campaign Chairperson, Chris Tarpley, Vice President of Georgia Bank and Trust.

“We would like to complete the campaign before January 1, 2016, but that has been a challenge in the past. If you or your business would like to become a United Way contributing partner like those listed below, it is not too late,” continued Tarpley.

The Board of Directors wishes to thank the donors who have already stepped up for this year’s campaign. Their tax deductible contributions stay in Gordon County and will be used to support the 18 agencies working right here.
