HARBIN CLINIC ZOMBIE-THON REGISTRATION
— The fastest, flesh-eating 5K returns to Northwest Georgia this fall, and for runners and walkers alike, the Harbin Clinic Zombie-thon is the best way to test your survival skills against zombies invading downtown Rome. WILLARD NIXON SPORTS HALL OF FAME GOLF TOURNAMENT
— Registration is now open for the Willard Nixon Sports Hall of Fame Golf Tournament on Thursday, Oct. 29 at Stonebridge Golf Course, which benefits the John Pinson, Jr. Student Athlete Award Scholarship Program. Team Entry is $440 and covers green fees, carts fees, range balls, lunch and two mulligans per player for a team of four. Hole sponsorships are also available for $100 or $75 when purchased with a team entry. Contests include Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Hole in One. GORDON CENTRAL PRESEASON BASKETBALL CAMP
— The Gordon Central High boys and girls basketball programs will host a preseason basketball camp Oct. 31-Nov. 1 for children in grades 1st through the 8th. The camp will be 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30-4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Players will learn fundamental skills of dribbling, passing, shooting and defense to get a great jump start on the season. The cost per camper is $30 and each camper will receive a Gordon Central Basketball clinic tshirt (if pre-registered), free admission to Gordon Central’s home scrimmage on Nov. 14 against Cass and floor recognition at the Nov. 14 scrimmage.
