Jayhawk Music & Art Festival on Aug. 5 will benefit Children's Advocacy Center

The inaugural Jayhawk Music & Art Festival is slated for Saturday, Aug. 5, and the proceeds will go towards benefitting the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit.

The Jayhawk Music & Art Festival was created in memory of the organizer’s late father, Jay Burgess.

The festival will take place from 10 a. m. to 8 p. m. at the Pigeon Mountain Grill at 18381 Ga. Highway 193 in Chickamauga.

The event is free to the public, but donations towards the Children’s Advocacy Center are appreciated, organizer Vic Burgess said.

The event will feature regional artisans and artists as well as live music from Mic Harrison & The High Score, Tommy Womack, Sweet GA Brown, The ExLaws, Kidd/ Shaw, Small Town Rumor, Bob Carty, Un Amigo, Muletide, Marlon Murphy, Michael Teague, Corey Alan Rose Band, plus many more.
