and groups that reach out, even if on a short term and temporary basis, to those in need? A column intended for a long while but not written yet will discuss the sin of failure to do good to other humans. It is well remembered that a teacher once declared that the judgment parables of the New Testament condemns people for the good they fail to do as opposed to the common concept many have that evil conduct is the chief concern.

One of the great attitudes manifested during the Christmas season is the attitude of giving and sharing. Note: I did not refer to it as “The Holiday Season.” I am thankful for all the good I hear and see of people helping others. May we all have an open and caring heart during all the days of the year.

Coach D. A Richardson and his poster at the State Championsh­ip game:

Last Saturday night, Coach Hal Lamb’s Yellow Jackets captured the Class AAA State Football Championsh­ip. The report of that game will be left up to our talented Sports Editor Alex Farrer.

Suddenly on the TV screen appeared Coach D. A. Richardson holding a poster which declared some impressive thoughts all should embrace and understand. The poster read, Big Time Players make Big Time Plays in Big Time Games. I had not heard or read that statement before and it was impressive in content; it was more impressive because of who displayed it for the crowd and TV viewers to see.
