TOBI Says, What do you expect?

Calhoun Times - - OBITUARIES -

When you go to a run, you many times know the order of finish for your age group. It may be a cross country meet, or a 5k. Most people know who the best runner is in the group. This is not predestination. Practice, experience and talent all play a part in the result.

In school, you usually know the student or two that will get the best grade on the test. Again, study and talent will be factors in the results.

When you pray and ask God for something, you can predict the results. Asking for a good grade on a test that you did not study for will not make the grade better. The prayer should be before you study, for God to teach you the material and help you understand what the teacher was saying. Then you can predict a better grade.

There are other factors. Some students are great in a subject but maybe not so great in another subject. Some folks are talented athletes, others prefer other activities like music, history and many other things.

Each person should pursue an area of interest to them. God can help everybody in some way. God will be as involved as you allow Him to be. So talk to Him today. Give Jesus the opportunity to make a difference in your life.
