TOBI Says, Meet a counselor

-

a counselor. The counselor is there to make you feel welcome.

At a youth camp, the counselor is usually a college student that has been to camp in the past. They are there to show you around and help you learn how things are done at this camp. Each camp does things a little different. You learn about the schedule, and when and where the activities are located. They are there to be a friend and answer any questions that you have during the week.

Camp can be for band, or sports, or Bible, or 4- H, or just a time to be outdoors. They all have special times to help you improve your talents in some way.

There are other counselors. In church, at the end of the service, there are counselors to make you feel welcome, and answer your questions, and guide you in your life decisions.

Other people go to a counselor to help them with a problem that they are having trouble dealing with. Schools have counselors to guide the students in the academic area. They also have special counselors when there has been a tragedy or some difficult event.

A counselor is a guide or helper to listen and give you some advice. Their experience and training have helped them learn how to help you.

Still you will listen to them and decide what you wish about the counsel that they are giving you.

Their job is to point you in the right direction. Your job is to choose the right path for you. The best counselor is the Lord Jesus Christ. Talk to Him today.
