TOBI Says, What about David and Goliath?

The story of David and Goliath is one of the most famous stories in the Bible. It, like the many other stories, are to teach Christians to learn to trust God in any situation they face.

When David heard the challenge from Goliath, he was not afraid. His childlike faith expected God to give the victory. Evidently his parents had taught him to trust God and to do the right thing at every opportunity. Remember how God had used him to kill a bear and a lion to protect his sheep.

King Saul had stopped following God and began depending on his own strength. He was afraid of the giant. The soldiers following their leader were also afraid of the giant.

David went out to face the giant and God gave him the victory. Then the army followed David’s leadership and went and conquered the Philistine army.

You will face giants in your life. It will probably not be a ten foot giant. It may be a bully or you may be tempted to cheat or something else will make you mad. The challenge you face will give you the opportunity to see God at work in your life.

God is big enough to handle any problem that you will face. He loves you and wants you to follow Him. He wants you to have victory in your life.

You will not always win, but He will always be with you in any situation that you face. He wants you to learn to trust Him just as David did. Then you will see God defeat your Goliath.
