Pine Grove Baptist Church in Cartersvil­le is having a revival through Friday, Aug. 2, beginning at 7 p.m. each night. The evangelist is Joey Phillips. A special singing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m. with special singers Barry Rowland and Deliveranc­e. The church is located at 93 Pine Grove Road S.E., Cartersvil­le.

Everyone is invited to Wesley Chapel Methodist Church on the evening of Aug. 3 at 6 p.m. to enjoy a program of gospel music presented by the Davis Brothers Trio of Rome. After the singing there will be a covered-dish supper. The church is located at 279 Wesley Chapel Road S.E., Calhoun, off of Highway 53 near the Sonoravill­e Recreation Complex.

The Women’s Auxiliary of the North Georgia General Missionary Baptist Associatio­n will have their 2019 annual women’s revival at Lovejoy Baptist Church, 436 Branham Ave., Rome, Aug. 19-21 at 7 p.m. each night. Evangelist Julia P. Russell of Thankful Baptist Church will be the speaker. All are asked to join us for the spoken word of God.

The Basement will hold Nights of Worship weekly each Saturday, with fellowship at 5:30 p.m. and worship at 6:30 p.m. The Basement is located at 903D S. Wall St. in Calhoun beside the Family Dollar Store.

Oostanaula Baptist Outreach Ministry will be open on the third Saturday of each month, taking donations for food and clothing. The ministry is located at 156 Old Rome Dalton Road.

There is a new Anglican church in formation for the Whitfield/Gordon County area. This new mission parish will be affiliated with the Anglican Church in North America through the Anglican Diocese of the South. A place and time of gathering is being determined based on replies. City of Refuge Calhoun is sponsoring Celebrate Recovery sessions every Tuesday. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery program for all of life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups. There will be a free breakfast served until 10:30 a.m. The Closet of Hope is a faith-based nonprofit clothing ministry serving all of the community.
