The Gordon County Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on August 12, 2019 at 6 pm in the Conference Room of the Gordon County Administration Building, 201 N. Wall Street, Calhoun, GA. The Planning Commission will review and take Final Action on an application by OWR, LLC requesting a from Gordon County Zoning Ordinance Article 4.07.06 Section (C) in order to reduce buffer strip from 250 to 20 feet on sides & rear & 40 feet front concerning property located at 2638 US Hwy 41S, Calhoun, GA 30701. Land Lot(s) 174, District 15, Section 3 Gordon County, Georgia, and being currently zoned A-1, Agricultural. The applicant states the following reason for the request: Hardship based on pending purchase of adjoining tract & fact that all property in the area lies in an area designated for future land use as industrial.
