The Gordon County Young Farmers will be hosting a wreath making workshop on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. at Red Bud Middle School in the agriculture room. Participants will create their own 12inch evergreen wreath. The event costs $25 and includes all supplies and a sandwich supper. Registration is required by Tuesday, Nov. 26. The Oostanaula School Community Club will host a band appreciation on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. The event will honor all bands that give of their time and talent to benefit those in need. GriefShare support group is an encouraging videobased weekly seminar and caring Christian support group designed to help you rebuild your life after the loss of someone you’ve loved. Some of these children are not identified. Please help us locate and identify them. The Calhoun Housing Authority Board of Commissioners meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month for the regular called board meetings at noon. Special Board meetings will be advertised in advance. Our Lunch with Leaders program provides members with a positive learning experience while allowing members to interact with professional leaders in the community. Tallatoona has appointments and funding available for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. Appointments are provided on a first-come, first-served basis until the program ends April 30. Gordon County residents who qualify will receive either $310 or $350 toward their utility bill (primary heating source). The utility bill does not have to be in disconnect status to receive assistance.
