Ashworth Wrestling finishes third at the Jr. Screaming Eagle Tournament

The Wrestling Warriors had a solid day finishing third at the Jr. Screaming Eagle Tournament at Mt. Zion High School in Carrollton.

The team finished with 174 points behind Bremen with 197 and Long Canes 181 points. The team finished ahead of Central Carrollton, Heard County, Villa Rica, Bay Springs, Cedartown, Mt. Zion, Landmark Christian, Eagles Landing, Callaway, and Temple.

Yair Martinez finished first for the team. Juan Rodriguez and Landon Timms both finished second. Nate Swims, Andon Bailey and Brayden Timms all finished third.

Adding crucial points to the team score were Landin Siburkis, Browning Marlow, Colton Banks, Vance Siburkis, Chapel Parr, Layelon Caldwell, Ryland Woody, Johnathan Gonzalez, and Cooper Pass.

The team is in action this Thursday for a tri-match at Armuchee High School with wrestling starting at 4:30 p.m.
