GEM to host Belmont Baptist Handbell Choir
The Belmont Baptist Handbell Choir will present a Christmas Concert at the GEM Theatre in downtown Calhoun on Monday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m.
Free tickets are available now at Belmont Baptist Church and at the GEM the night of the concert. Admission to the concert is a bag of groceries to be distributed through the Blewer Food Center.
This is the eleventh year for Belmont Handbells to offer this Christmas present to the community. Narration, interwoven with Christmas carols, will tell the true reason for Christmas.
New songs in this year’s presentation include “Nuttin’ for Christmas”, “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”, and “O Come, All Ye Faithful.” The concert will offer several favorite arrangements such as “Jingle Bells,” “White Christmas,” and “The Chipmunk Song.”
The Blewer Food Center is a ministry of the Gordon Memorial Baptist Association. This food ministry services hundreds of local families during the year.
Blewer information may be obtained at 706-629-5407. Director Jim Sellers invites you to enrich your Christmas season with beautiful music while helping those in need.
