Author reads book to local children at Library

Above: Author Karl Porfirio recently read his book “My Daddy Has a Purple Heart” to children at the CalhounGor­don County Public Library. Porfirio’s son died from complicati­ons of being wounded in Afghanista­n and the book was written to share some of that story with his grandson.
