The Varsity announces Northwest Georgia location.
The Varsity has identified a Rome location on Spider Webb Drive where a Dairy Queen is now located, according to plans filed at the Rome/Floyd Planning Department this week.
The announcement read that Bill Temple, vice president with Toles, Temple and Wright Real Estate, worked to bring a group to Rome and
McDaniel has secured the location.
A document that may illustrate more of the details of the plan is expected to be filed with the Rome Floyd Planning
Department within the next few days.
The iconic restaurant now has six locations: Atlanta, Kennesaw, Norcross, Dawsonville and two at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. And its website emphasizes that the number of locations is growing.
The restaurant, and now chain, has been owned and operated by the Gordy family since 1928.
