Library sponsoring art display featuring 1,000 paper cranes
The Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library is sponsoring a community-wide collaborative art project. Our goal is to collect 1,000 origami cranes to display in the library.
Cranes have long symbolized peace, good health, longevity, and healing. According to the Japanese tradition of senbazuru, anyone who folds 1,000 origami cranes will be granted his or her most desired wish.
We want to gather the community’s hopes, wishes, and dreams as we unite them with our shared hope of a brighter 2022.
For more information and to receive origami instructions, visit the Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library at 100 N. Park Ave.
