Calhoun Police and Gordon Fire get $4K Walmart grant

- From Calhoun Police Department

The Calhoun Police Department in conjunction with the Gordon County Fire Department have received a $4,000 Community Grant from Walmart and the Walmart Foundation to improve the communities we serve and protect.

These funds were used to assist the families in need by providing gifts from “Santa” this past Christmas with the “Santa in Uniform Project.”

Calhoun Police Department Officers teamed up with the Gordon County Fire Fighters to take these children shopping for things on their lists.

“Seeing the smiles on these children’s faces while building that helping community connection, is very rewarding in itself,” said Chief Pyle.
