The Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library, 100 N. Park Ave., will host Restorativ­e Yoga with Judy Peterson, Thursday, Jan.

The Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library, 100 N. Park Ave., will host ArtZentang­le, Friday, Jan. 21, from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m., combining doodles and bold patterns with relaxation to bring peace and beauty into your day.

Harris Arts Center and Calhoun Little Theatre will present “Final Cut,” a murder mystery dinner theater January 21 and 22, at 7 p.m. at 212 S. Wall St. Tickets are $35 and reservatio­ns are required by Jan. 24 by calling 706-629-2599, or at HarrisArts­Center.com. A three course catered meal is included and tables of eight will receive a $35 discount.

100 N. Park Ave., will host a Harry Potter Marathon Movie Series, Jan. 24 through Feb. 2, for all ages beginning at 4 p.m. in preparatio­n for “huge book party” in February.

The Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library, 100 N. Park Ave., will host an adult Painting Class with Christie Whittier, Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 10:30 to noon. Classes limited to 12 students and patrons must pre-register by calling the library at 706-624-1456.

The Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library, 100 N. Park Ave., will host Computer Basics with Brian, Thursday, Jan. 27, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The introducto­ry class will teach logging in, finding files, folder us and other basic skills.

100 N. Park Ave., will host Lunch Bunch Book Club, Friday, Jan. 28, from noon to 1 p.m. Bring a sack lunch and gather to enjoy book club fun themed “Living Your Best Life.”

FEBRUARY

The Board of Trustees of the Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library will hold its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 4:30 p.m. via online through Google Meet. This meeting is open to the public.

Keep Calhoun Gordon Beautiful will host its 2022 Arbor Day seedling giveaway, Saturday, Feb. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Calhoun Recreation Department. A variety of seedlings will be offered so locals can select trees that are right for their property. Some varieties will be more limited than others.

Gordon County Parks and Recreation is hosting its second annual Ties & Tiaras Daddy-Daughter Dance, Saturday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Sonoravill­e Rec. Department gym, 7494 Fairmount Highway. There will be dinner, dancing and photos. Admission is free, but participan­ts must RSVP by calling 706-602-4435.

The Renis Barrett VFW Post 5376, 406 W. Line St., will hold a veterans outreach breakfast the last Saturday of each month, from 8 to 10 a.m., in the event hall. The free breakfast is open to all local veterans.
