The Gordon County Historical Society will hold its Winter Meeting Thursday, Feb. 16, with dinner at 6:30 p.m., at the Calhoun Depot, 109 S. King St. Member and author Mignon Franklin Ballard will be the speaker.

American Legion Riders Post 47, 401 W Line St., will present its 2023 Sweetheart Dance Saturday, Feb. 18 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the American Legion Meeting Hall featuring DJ Duck Valley. New Echota State Historic Site, 1211 Highway 225, will host its Star Program Saturday, Feb. 18, from 7 to 8 p.m., a special program about the night sky.
