‘Bow the Knee’ passion play returning to Calhoun Seventh-day Adventist Church

- From Calhoun Seventhday Adventist Church

The dramatic musical passion play, “Bow the Knee,” will be presented once again on Saturday, April 15, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1411 Rome Road.

As in past years, Pastor Glenn Aguirre notes that performances at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., will be free to the public.

A volunteer cast of over 100 including set designers, costumed actors, and a choir will depict the last days of Jesus’ life as seen through the eyes of a Roman centurion. Three sisters — Jeavanie, Jeanyvah, and Jealyna Desarmes — are directing the production, which was scripted by Chris Machen and Kimberly Messer, with orchestration by Richard Kingsmore.

Community families are invited to mark their calendars and plan ahead to attend this free play that follows the Bible account of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, His trial, death, and resurrection.
