GREESON, Kathy Elaine

Kathy Elaine Greeson, 69 of Calhoun, Georgia passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 27, 2023. She was born on October 29, 1953, in Rome, GA. She is the daughter of the late Theron Ledford and the late Eloise Payne Ledford.

Mrs. Greeson worked as a beautician and floral designer during her life, but her friends and family would tell you she was a Master of Ceremonies at heart. She was always quick with a joke, and she never met a stranger. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren, as well as her husband and many animals.

Mrs. Greeson is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Tommy Greeson, son Hunter (Aimee) Norton of Sarasota, FL, son Dustin (Ashley) Norton of Monroe, GA, brothers Craig (Barbara) Ledford, Rickey (Robyn) Ledford, sister Susan (Greg) Huggins, grandchildren Shelby, Savannah, Mira, Lincoln, Duke, Evelyn, Callie, Jarrett, Nora and Oakley; stepson Cody (Bailey) Greeson, stepson Randy (Mindy) Greeson and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her lifelong friend, Janet Yeckes.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 455 McDaniel Station Road Southwest, Calhoun, GA 30701. Bishop David Rawlings officiating. Pallbearers serving are Jarrett Greeson, Ricky Greeson, Jon Huggins, Brandon Ledford, Jason Ledford, Crockett Ledford, and Josh Huggins. Honorary pallbearers include the men and women’s society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
