Library ringing in 2024 with plenty of activities

Happy New Year! Make a resolution to visit one of the Library’s free programs this year.

The Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library is located at 100 N. Park Ave., and is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays. For more informatio­n on any activities or to preregiste­r, call 706-624-1456.

The library will be closed Saturday, Jan. 13 as well as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 15.

Calhoun Little Theatre and Harris Arts Center, 212 S. Wall St., will present the 8th annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre “Murder on Maui” Jan. 26, and 27, at 7 p.m., with a meal catered by S&J Events. New Foundation­s Developmen­t Inc. and the Calhoun Housing Authority will host a free Homebuyer’s Fair Saturday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. at the Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library, 100 N. Park Ave. Guest will learn keys to unlock the door to home ownership, hear directly from industry leaders, and learn about the Georgia Dream Program, grants for teachers, firefighte­rs, and first responders, as well as credit and finance counseling.
