JACK’S TARGETS 2024 OPENING
Alabama-based fast-food chain is currently hiring
A fast-food chain that already has several locations across the area aims to add a Gordon County location this year.
An recent online job posting from Alabama-based Jack’s Family Restaurants listed a General Manager position for a Calhoun location.
According to the listing, the location will be opening mid-2024, with training for the GM position to occur at a nearby Jack’s location that is already operating.
“Currently, we have a tentative opening date of late summer/early fall 2024,” said Elizabeth Cota, Jack’s vice president of Human Resources. “Whenever we do an opening, we advertise for our management positions early so as to give our new Leaders the proper training and practice to fully immerse themselves into the Jack’s Culture.”
Nearby locations already open include Dalton and Rome, with others in Summerville, Ft. Oglethorpe, Cedartown and Carrollton — totaling 22 in Georgia.
The Calhoun Times is working to confirm a possible location for the new location, as well as the potential
of an additional nearby location in Cartersville, with sources indicating a possible Highway 53 location near the interstate, but the company isn’t releasing any further specifics to date. Notable possibilities include the recently closed Hardee’s location between Dunkin’ Donuts and KFC.
“In 2024, we are planning and continuing to grow in our Georgia
markets,” Jack’s Digital Marketing Coordinator Kylee Jackson said. “At this time, we do not have specific details around a location in Calhoun/Gordon County. We hope to make our way to these areas in the future and share the best Southern food with these communities.”
Calhoun previously had a Jack’s franchise location, but that restaurant closed several decades ago.
