Greater Woonsocket community came through for a good cause again this Christmas season

We at “because He lives” Ministries feel very grateful for all the support we received from the greater Woonsocket community in the past year. We are especially blessed in our present location at All Saints Church. The generosity and love shown for those less fortunate by this church and all who contribute to this ministry illustrate how much people of this area care for their fellow man.

Our annual fundraiser held at All Saints on Nov. 14 was a grerat success. The wonderful people of the area came out to donate and take part in the festivities on that day. We especially want to thank Kelly Leclaire, who did most of the organizing with help from various friends who put together some beneficial raffles. Kelly’s mother and father, Judy and Terry McKenna, were a great help all the way from Florida, with raffle prizes and helping with publicity. The efforts of many volunteers came together to make the day.

We also must thank Sgt. John Scully and all who helped him with collecting toys and putting together the Children’s Christmas Party – there were so many happy children!

We had a beautiful Christmas Day, with a great dinner and presents for all. It was a great day at All Saints!

We had many helpers, but it is the people, churches and companies of this great community who gave very generously in goods and contributions to make sure the holidays of the poor would be brightened and that this ministry could continue to assist those in need for another year.
