Bellingham Police seize drugs, arrest 2
BELLINGHAM – Two Bellingham men were arrested Tuesday on drug-related charges after a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street, police said.
Jordan Paniss, 23, of 57 Mendon St., and Michael Fuhrman, 20, of 305 Blackstone St., both of Bellingham, were arrested at 1:05 p.m. after police stopped their car on South Main Street for suspicion of attaching registration plates.
After a roadside investigation, both Paniss and Fuhrman were charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin). Paniss was additionally charged with possession of a Class B substance (oxycodone), possession of a Class D substance (marijuana) over one ounce, attaching plates, and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
Police later obtained a search warrant from Milford
District Court to allow a search of Paniss’ Bellingham apartment. As a result of that search, Paniss was additionally charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (heroin); possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance (marijuana); cultivation of a Class D substance (marijuana); possession with intent to distribute a Class C substance (psilocybin mushrooms); possession of a Class C substance (THC Wax - Tetrahydrocannabinol); and possession of a Class E substance (amphetamine).
Over $3,000 in cash was seized as profits from the sale of narcotics, police said.
Fuhrman was bailed on personal recognizance and Paniss was being held on $20,000 cash bail.
