Darlington Girls Softball to stage annual wintertime clinics Free Wheelchair Tennis Clinics available

PAWTUCKET -- Darlington Girls Softball will stage its annual winter clinics beginning on January 14 and run from 6-7 p.m. every Thursday through the end of March.

The 10 & Under group has already started holding clinics. They will continue from 6-7 every Tuesday through the end of March.

Those who attend will receive instructio­n from volunteers. All the participan­ts need is a softball glove, sneakers and a smile!

DARTMOUTH — Wheelchair tennis is one of the fastest growing wheelchair sports and played all over the world. Wheelchair tennis clinics are geared toward people with mobility disabiliti­es such as spinal cord injuries, amputees, spinal cord diseases, etc. Attend all clinics or just one! All player levels are welcome!

If you are an able-bodied person interested in volunteeri­ng at clinic, please join us at the clinics or contact me for more details.

DATE: Friday nights 7:30-9:30 p.m., scheduled as noted: 2/26, 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, 5/20.

The clinic is free. All levels of players are welcome to attend. Rackets can be provided if need be. The location of the classes is Dartmouth Indoor Tennis, 757 State Rd, Dartmouth, Mass. 02747

Instructio­ns to be provided by Jim Buck, who has been teaching tennis for 35 years and teaching wheelchair tennis for 20 years; Helped create and operate wheelchair tennis program in Southern California for 10 years.
