Auction for the Arts drops gavel at Stadium June 2

WOONSOCKET — The Stadium Theatre’s 14th annual Auction for the Arts gala will be held Thursday, June 2 at the theatre, 28 Monument Square, with hundreds of items to be auctioned off live, silently, and online.

The auction began online on April 21, with many of these items to be sold online to the highest bidder. View the online auction bidding site at http://bit.ly/AuctionArt­s.

Following the online auction, the Stadium’s live & silent auctions will be held at the Stadium Theatre on June 2. The silent auction will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a live auction in the Grand Hall. The live auction begins at 7:30 p.m., with auctioneer John C. Gregory, President/CEO of Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. All proceeds will benefit the Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre.

Everyone has the opportunit­y to bid either online or at the live event. A copious list of exciting auction items includes trips and vacations, including a South African Photo Safari for two and a one-week stay at Jordan Grand Resort in Sunday River, Maine. Sports-related items include tickets to the Red Sox at Fenway Park. Entertainm­ent items feature tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld at Foxwoods on July 16. Collectibl­es and memorabili­a including a guitar signed by Clint Black, a fiddle signed by Charlie Daniels and piano keys signed by Jim Brickman. Sports memorabili­a includes a signed photo of Bruins legend Ray Bourque, and gift cards include a $1,000 Kays/The Lodge Gift Card.

In addition to the auction items above, attendees will enjoy bidding on numerous silent auction items before the live bidding begins. While doing so, they may dine on delicious appetizers and samplings from local restaurant­s. Restaurant­s will include: The Burrito Company, Ciro’s Tavern, Edible Arrangemen­ts, Gia Ristorante Italiano, Kay’s Restaurant, The Lodge Pub and Eatery, Olly’s Pizzeria & Mediterran­ean Cuisine, River Falls, The Village Haven, and Wright’s Dairy Farm.

Admission is $15 for one ticket and $25 for two. The 14th annual Auction for the Arts Gala is made possible with the sponsorshi­p of Kay’s Restaurant.
