God’s timing is the perfect time

-

Are you waiting for God to do a specific thing in your life, but it seems to be delayed? Maybe there’s a dream for which you are longing. Or there could be something that you’re trusting God to do, although He hasn’t yet done it.

Now, you might be losing hope.

Perhaps, one of the hardest lessons to learn is patience. To wait for your dreams to come to pass. To remain faithful when disappointments occur. To be patient with children, friends or business associates. Or to wait for conditions to change in your behalf.

How many times have we prayed, putting the matter before God in faith, resting on His promises and then nothing happens? Doubts may bombard our mind. We begin to get anxious or fearful. And before long, we might think, “God didn’t hear me,” “It’s not going to happen,” or “It’s too just late.”

However, just because your heart’s dream hasn’t transpired so far, that doesn’t mean that God’s provision is disregarded. I’ve heard it said that God answers our prayers in three ways:

1. He says, ‘Yes” and gives you what you want.

2. He says, “No” an provides something better. “Wait”

3. Or God says, and then He gives you the best.

Be assured, when nothing seems to be materializing, a lot really is going on behind the scenes. Just as there are seasons in nature for planting and growing, there are seasons in all of our lives. Nature does not hurry. It grows at its own pace. So, let’s do as the gardener does… wait with expectation. Although the storms may come, the gardener continues to plan and prepare for the harvest. The gardener knows that positive expectation, patience and preparation, lead to success. For the longer it takes, the bigger the harvest.

Despite what you are waiting for today, God’s timing is the perfect time. Therefore, remain secure in the knowledge that God loves you, and He is with you. On every level, God is overseeing your life. And so, “enter into the rest of God.” (Hebrews 4:11) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; listen for His voice in everything you do, and He will keep your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3: 5,6). For, “…through faith and patience you will inherit what has been promised.” (Hebrews 6:12) Remember, delays are not God’s denials. Rest in His care, timing and sovereign purpose. God will help you overcome anything you are going through, as God knows what He is doing. And when the time is right, He will “do wonders never before done.” (Exodus 34:10).

In the Bible in John 9, it tells how one day Jesus was walking with his disciples. Then, they saw a man who had been blind since birth. This man had never seen before.

The disciples thought that man was blind because he or his parents had sinned. But Jesus told them, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him…”

After saying this, Jesus spit on the ground and made some mud. Next, He put the mud on the blind man’s eyes. “Go,” Jesus told him, “Wash in the Pool of Siloam.” Often, God can use unusual methods that lead us to a miracle.

So acting in faith, the blind man went and washed the mud from his sightless eyes. Miraculously, Jesus healed the blind man. And for the first time in his life, he came home and saw the beautiful world ahead of him.

If Jesus can heal a blind man with a bit of mud, He can help you with whatever you might be facing in your life.

• Maybe you are worried about a troubling situation. God says: Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in Me. (John 14:1).

• It could be that you’re frustrated and ready to quit. God says: Wait for Me. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. (Psalm 27:14).

• You may not know which way to turn. God says: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8).

God is about to do something for you that you’ve never experienced before and show you blessings in ways that you’ve never imagined. A while ago, a friend of mine was driving on an unfamiliar road to bring dinner and a gift to a friend who’d just returned home from the hospital.

My friend was driving an older car with no navigation, and he began to get lost. Then, he started to ask himself, ‘What should I do?’ ‘Should I turn back?’ The farther he went, the more he wondered if he was on the right road. It started to get dark outside, and my friend thought he might get disoriented, so he had a choice to make.

Yet something told him to keep going forward, and just a few miles up the road, he found he was back on course. In fact, he was closer to his destination than he would have been if he’d turned around.

The moral of this story is that often we don’t know whether or not we’re on the right course. If we become fearful and turn back, we will never know how close we are to success—in fact, the distance to where you are and where you want to go might be just a few steps away around the next curve in the road.

Thus, keep praying. Keep believing and expecting God to do extraordinary things. That delay, setback or disappointment is not the end. Your day of victory is coming. Trust God and be at peace. God has something great for you just up ahead. The answer to your prayer is close. Hence, wait on your miracle. God’s timing is the perfect time. For soon blessings will come from unexpected places. Circumstances will transform wondrously in your behalf. And you’ll receive a phenomenal breakthrough.

Expect your life to be touched and changed by God’s grace. Keep your hope in God and look forward to the amazing blessings in your future. God is going to work everything together for your good.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28)
