WOONSOCKET – Shawn P. Riccio, 36, of Woonsocket, died tragically in a motor vehicle accident Friday, June 10. He was the beloved husband of Renée (Belisle) Riccio.

A lifelong resident of Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Raymond and Jeanne P. (Gagnon) Riccio.

Shawn was an assistant manager at Home Depot in Johnston and was a retired Albion Fire Department Lieutenant. He was also a huge New England Patriots fan and was part of the Gillette Stadium Field Crew.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his three loving sons: Michael, Anthony and Matthew Riccio. Shawn was devoted father who loved and worshiped his wife Renée and his three boys. Shawn also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends, whom he was always there for when anyone needed anything.

Shawn was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a big fan of Disney, enjoyed cruising with the Kirkland’s and enjoyed camping trips with his family. Shawn was an amazing cook and loved his “Mango Margaritas.” Shawn volunteere­d many hours to “Operation Stand Down” to build homes for veterans, and loved being the assistant baseball coach of his son’s Little League team, ‘Executive Carwash.’

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 15, at 11 a.m. in Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will follow in the Ukrainian Cemetery, Center Street, Bellingham, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons in Shawn’s memory (this was near and dear to Shawn’s heart) to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island, 10 Hartford Ave, Johnston, RI, 02919 would be appreciate­d.
