Discovering What's Next: ‘Thinking Beyond the Money’ in Bellingham
BELLINGHAM — While money is a very important part of retirement planning, it is far from everything.
Thinking about retirement in a creative and comprehensive way can be critical to supporting health and happiness. Thinking Beyond the Money,
which will be presented on Tuesday, June 14, 6 p.m. at the Bellingham Senior Center, 40 Blackstone St., presents a new definition of "retirement," promotes effective planning and offers a practical model for considering the possibilities, midlife and beyond, by prioritizing six targets: home, security, fitness, connection, purpose and balance.
Each participant leaves with a set of worksheets to inspire and motivate completion of a personal plan.
Be at the Senior Center for an engaging and fun evening. Attendance with spouses and significant others is encougared to enrich the experience. Or, invite your friends and neighbors.
A light dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. before the program begins. The event is free and open to the public.

‘RMV Near Me’
The Bellingham Council on Aging (COA), in partnership with (MassDOT) and the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) is offering an additional location, 40 Blackstone St., at which older citizens can receive assistance processing routine Registry transactions online.
On the second Friday each month. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., residents interested in trying out this new option, can stop by or call ahead and meet with Lisa Mottola, Assistant Director who was trained by RMV staff, and is now able to assist residents with conducting online transactions as well as helping to locate important RMV forms, documents, and resources online.
Examples of several RMV transactions that can be processed at COA locations include:
1-renewing Massachusetts driver’s licenses online (if the resident is younger than 75);
2-renewing a motor vehicle registration without having to visit the local RMV branch.
