RIIL Hall of Fame Tickets now available

PROVIDENCE — On Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, the Rhode Island Interscholastic League [RIIL], the state high school athletic association, will hold its annual High School Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony.

Tickets are now available and may be purchased by contacting the RIIL Office at (401) 272-9844. Online ticket availability to be announced. Tickets are $50.00 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Class of 2016 Inductees: Bryan Berard, Craig Blanchard, Bob Cavanagh, Jo- Ann D’Alessandro, Sara Lynn Fabrizio, Donald D. Gainey, Ed.D., Charles Edward Gibbons, Carolyn Thornton Iannuccilli, Keith Lawton, Bob Leddy, Elizabeth “Betty” Marquis, Sue Reposa, Kim Zifcak- White, Gerald Zifcak (posthumously).

Lincoln LL to hold awards picnic

LINCOLN — Lincoln Little League will be holding its 2016 Awards Picnic in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Lonsdale Park.

The event begins at 4 p.m. Food and drink will be served. All players & their families are invited to attend.

The cost is $10 per person. Children 2 & under are free. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 16.

WHS X-country all-you-can-eat breakfast

WOONSOCKET – The Woonsocket High School cross country team will be holding an allyou-can-eat breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 30 at Club Par-X, 36 Stanley St. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to noon; and includes all-you-can-eat eggs, ham, beans, homefries, toast, juice and coffee.
