Panthers overcome Pats

LINCOLN – Bianca Robbins managed a hat trick as unbeaten Johnston High snared a 3-1 Division III triumph over Davies Tech on Thursday afternoon.

The Panthers (9-0-1 overall, 9-0-0 league) grabbed a 20 advantage in the initial stanza, and Gabriella Scarcella assisted on one of Robbins’ tallies in that half. Emily Gaye chipped in two saves for the victors.

Julianna Desautel recorded an unassisted goal, and Maddie Brassard notched 14 saves for the Patriots (3-4-1 league).

Cougars stop Saints

PAWTUCKET – North Providence High took advantage of its extreme depth to post a 4-1 Division III victory over St. Raphael at the McKinnonAl­ves Complex on Thursday.

Four different girls scored for the Cougars (6-3-2), including Andrea Matarese, Jessica Rizzo, Aria Amico and Raffaela Brunetti. Rizzo, Maddie Taliercio and Vicky Thresher contribute­d feeds, while keeper Ashley Siravo earned four stops.

Emma Mendes scored the lone goal for the Saints (3-8-1), and Saylor Costa mustered six saves.

Mariners defeat BVP

NARRAGANSE­TT – Taylor Chofay knocked home two goals while Kendall Gilbert, Anna Lubic and Riley Clancey all fashioned a tally and an assist as Narraganse­tt High drilled Blackstone Valley Prep in a Division III tilt on Thursday night.

Grace McGrady and Brynn Riley scored the other goals for the Mariners (6-2-0 league). BVP fell to 0-7-0.
