Young readers want to learn more about R.I.

-

I’m writing to you as part of a class project for the novel “The Watsons Go to Birmingham.” My classmates and I are contacting newspapers across the country in a state we chose to learn more about.

I wanted to learn more about Rhode Island because I always think of it as such a small state, and I want to know what fun things I could do if I were there. I also, wanted to know more about Rhode Island and all the cool animals that you might find there.

I’m writing to ask your readers to please write back and tell me why they like Rhode Island, interesting facts about the state and what there is to do there. When sending stuff, please include the article where they saw my letter. Thank you for your time and consideration. Hello! I’m a fourth-grader in North Carolina. In 4th grade, we do state reports and I have chosen your state! I’m very excited to learn more about the great state of Rhode Island as I work on my report.

Most of the information that we get for our reports will be from books and websites. We also like to get information from people who live in the state too. This is why I’m writing to you, I was hoping that you would be willing to send me some items to help me learn more about the best things in your state. It could be things like postcards, maps, pictures, souvenirs, general information, this article, or anything you find useful. You can main these items to the address below.
