Andrews leads Lincoln girls to dominant sweep of quad
LINCOLN – Lincoln High reigned in 11 of the 15 events on the outdoor track program to sweep Ponaganset (111.5-18.5), Johnston (126-3) and North Providence (104-28) in its Northern Division season opener at Ferguson Field on Monday afternoon.

Another senior, Sam Leal, commanded the 1,500 (5:33.2) and 800 (2:40.9), while sophomore Kristen Labossiere took the 100 dash (14.8) and senior Valynda Mede placed runner-up (14.9); junior Alison Banks snared the 300 low hurdles (1:03.7); and classmate Julia Heroux landed first in the 3,000 (12:32.9).
Banks also joined seniors Violetta Paul and Allie Leal and sophomore Sarah Fellingham on the triumphant 4 x 400 relay (5:04.4).
With the trifecta, the Lions now head the Northern Division standings at 3-0.

The quartet of Thakur, Thompson, Halloran and junior Kyle O’Hern also snatched the 4 x 400 relay in 4:07.5.
