Wright’s Farm Restaurant donates to Operation Stand Down
BURRILLVILLE – Wright’s Farm Restaurant and Gift Shop, located at 84 Inman Road in Burrillville, is pleased to announce it has donated $2,000 to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island, which supports Rhode Island’s military Veterans with housing, education, employment and many other services. The funds were raised during Wright’s annual Spring Fling Customer Appreciation Event held Friday May 12, 2017, during which 10 percent of all gift shop sales were donated to Operation Stand Down RI.
Wright’s Farm Restaurant owner Frank Galleshaw III also matched the funds raised in the gift shop with an equal donation. “The Spring Fling and Fall Fling are great celebrations at Wright’s Farm and a perfect opportunity to not only show our customers our appreciation, but also support a worthy cause like Operation Stand Down,” Galleshaw said.
“We could not be more appreciative to Wright’s Farm and Frank Galleshaw for this generous donation,” OSDRI Executive Director Erik Wallin said. “All donations from this great event will go directly to provide assistance to Veterans in our local community. It is because of events like this we are able to do the work that we do and help hundreds of veterans each year.”
Guests at the Spring Fling were welcomed with music, complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres, offers on gift shop items, raffles and prizes, a show of appreciation to Wright’s Farm’s loyal customers.
