CUMBERLAND — Thomas J. Malloy, 77, passed away on Thursday in Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband to Joan (Acciaioli) Malloy for the past 53 years.

Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Thomas H. and Mary A. (Geddes) Malloy. Mr. Malloy was a lifelong resident of Cumberland and Cape Cod.

He was a communican­t of the Historic St. Joseph Church, Cumberland.

He has been President of T.H. Malloy & Sons Energy, Cumberland, for the past 55 years. Recently Tom was inducted into the New England Fuel Institute Legends of Oil Heat. He will be honored in June of this year.

Beside his wife he is survived by his son Thomas J. Malloy and grandsons Tommy and Jack Malloy of Cumberland; son James J. Malloy, his wife Erin Malloy, and grandchild­ren Wyatt and Kaya Malloy of Marshfield, Vt.; and son Brett A. Malloy, his wife Maryellen Malloy, and grand-daughter EllaMae Malloy of Cumberland. He is also survived by two sisters Anne Mansi of South Dennis, Mass., and Frances Gallella of Cumberland; a brother William Malloy of Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebratio­n of His Life will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Historic St. Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Philip Hulitar Inpatient Unit, 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904.
