MILLVILLE — Harold R. “Harry” Thistle, 73, of Millville passed away Wed. May 24, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Pamela A. (Smith) Thistle.

Harry worked as a cabinet maker in the region for many years.

He was born May 18, 1944 in Framingham the son of the late Albert O. and Muriel I. (Despeaux) Thistle and a graduate of Newton-Wellesley Trade School. He was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. veteran.

Harry was devoted to his family, was a voracious reader, enjoyed painting, camping and boating, and was a talented woodworker who could produce heirloom quality furniture for family and friends.

In addition to his wife of 45 years, Pam, he is survived by two daughters, Amy M. Thistle, of Millville, and Stacie A. Thistle, of Putnam, Conn.; two sisters, Patricia Thistle, of Framingham, and Florence Martin, of Ashland; three grandchild­ren, Jacob, CoriAnne, and Mazie, and nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by a sister, Deborah Sirrico and a brother, George McGill.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge, MA and again on Saturday morning June 3, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Funeral services, with military honors, will be held Saturday, June 3, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
