On Tuesday, July 11, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Robin Putnam is presenting a well-tested program on how to avoid scams and identity theft. This free program is available to the community as well as seniors. Call 508-657-2706 to sign up. If there are less than six people the program will be reschedule­d so your name and phone number are important.

Also on July 11, the Zentangle class will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m. Zentangle is a new way to approach drawing for those who think they can’t. This program is also excellent for people who have had strokes, or who suffer from tremors. The relaxation and techniques aid in strengthen­ing muscles that have not been used for a long time.

Sign up at the front desk. Because of a grant from the Harvard/Pilgrim Foundation, the first 10 people to sign up will pay $10 for the class and materiels. After the first 10, the cost is $15. Space is limited.

Then, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., the center’s Get Healthy program will start. This free program requires pre-registrati­on. Call the front desk 508657-2706. The program is designed to aid people to strengthen their core, their balance, learn new ways to eat and walk. Come and commit to three weeks, then you will be hooked.

On Wednesday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m., Marjorie Turner Holmann will present Easy Walks. This free program will show where there are easy walks around Bellingham that you can utilize at your leisure. Holmann, who has written a book of the same name, will explain where to find them, how to find parking and other details of the walks. Please call to sign up.

On Thursday, July 13, at 1 p.m. there will be a presentati­on by Herb Credon on The Dream Team – the 1967 Red Sox. Please sign up at the front desk for this free program.

Also on July 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., there will be a demonstrat­ion of Essential Oils. Please sign up for this free presentati­on at the front desk.

On July 18, at 1 p.m. the center’s annual strawberry festival will be held. Following indulging in strawberry shortcake, those who have signed up and paid $4 prior to the event, will be treated to a fabulous Elvis impersonat­or. Registrati­on closes Friday, July 14.

July 18, 7 p.m., Southern Rail will perform in the center’s dining room. This blue-grass group has performed for the center’s seniors for several years, and always to a packed room. The cost of attending is a donation of durable goods for the food pantry. Please sign up at the front desk no later than July 14.

On Friday, July 21, at 10:30 a.m., Gary Hylalnder will continue his ‘Treason Season’ with a discussion about Tokyo Rose. Sign up at the front desk for free program.

Then, at 6:30 p.m. on the 21st, B4 will perform their annual concert in the dining room. This is a free concert but you are asked to sign up at the front desk and bring a donation for the food pantry.
