PROVIDENCE — Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) welcomes Danika Severino Wynn, CNM, as its Providence health center manager. Wynn joined PPSNE Monday and brings with her a wealth of knowledge about women’s health, passion for reproductive and social justice, and dedication to the Rhode Island community and patients who come to PPSNE for high-quality care.

“We are thrilled to welcome Danika to Planned Parenthood of Southern New England,” said Kafi Rouse, vice president of public relations and marketing with Planned Parenthood of Southern New England. “Every year, our Providence health center sees more than 8,200 patients. Danika’s extensive knowledge and experience will benefit the patients we serve and the entire Rhode Island community.”

Wynn joins PPSNE from Landmark Medical Center in Rhode Island, where she served as a midwife and midwife manager since 2014. Under her leadership, the hospital opened its first midwifery practice, R.I .Women’s Health & Midwifery. Wynn is also co-chair of The Doula Project, a New York City-based organization that provides free compassionate care and emotional, physical, and informational support to people across the spectrum of pregnancy. “I am excited to join the team of experts at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England and look forward to help expand access to sexual and reproductive health care in Rhode Island,” Wynn said. “I plan to work with my colleagues and community partners to reduce abortion stigma and continue to position PPSNE as a trusted and accessible space for health care services and educational programming.”
