PAWTUCKET — At a meeting held on Thursday, Oct. 19, in the church hall, St. Teresa’s seniors planned and approved their future plans, after celebrating Halloween by having a costume contest, and enjoying cider and donuts.

Tom DeFalco, as a judge, and Carolyn Jackson, as a jailbird, shared the ugliest and most original prizes; Ada Leone, as a Hawaiian lady, was awarded the prettiest; Karen Domenici was a scary spider and took the funniest prize; while Ann Ricard was voted the scariest as a really authentic spider.

Plans for the Nov. 16 Harvest Dinner are being finalized and the dinner will be held at Davenport's in East Providence.

Members should plan to make reservations and make payment at the Nov. 2 meeting, at which time the members will be donating toiletries for baskets being prepared for the Little Sisters of the Poor, and will then enjoy bingo while snacking on delicious baked goods donated by members.

The members of St. Teresa’s agreed to vote at their Dec. 7 meeting for various charities that will receive a Christmas gift.

They will enjoy a Christmas movie and share Yuletide poems. Their Christmas dinner on Dec. 21 in the Church Hall will close out the 2017 year and will be catered by Youngs Catering.

Tom DeFalco will be offering raffle tickets at $5 each at all meetings. Winners will receive VIP PawSox tickets for 20 people to enjoy a game in the spring and enjoy the Private Level Suite. Prizes are awarded at most meetings for attendance prize and split-the-pot.

New members, 55 or older, are welcome and may sign up at any meeting. Annual dues are $10.

Meetings cancelled only if Pawtucket schools closed due to inclement weather.
