Lincoln Public Library schedules holiday week full of kids’ activities

LINCOLN — Looking for activities to keep the kids occupied during school vacation? There’s something happening all week at Lincoln Public Library:

• Tuesday, Dec. 26: Drop in any time between noon and 3 p. m. for grab bag crafts with a variety of winter themed crafting kits to choose from so come by and join in this fun activity where what you take is what you make! (Ages 4-plus)

• Wednesday, Dec. 27: A unique “do it yourself” craft at 2 p.m. Make a spinner using a recycled CD, marble, and patterned paper template. Once spinners are made, there will be a competitio­n to see who’s spins the longest. (Ages 8-plus).

• Thursday, Dec. 28: Find out what it’s like to be an author and illustrato­r by creating your own “Little Golden Book.” Just bring your imaginatio­n to the Children’s Room at 3 p.m., and staff will supply the rest! (Ages 4-plus)

• Friday, Dec. 29: A family movie will be showing at 2 p.m.in the Program Room. This sequel film stars some famous minions who are back on screen creating mis- chief. A matinee is always a good way to warm up on a cold afternoon, so come in and cozy up in front of the big screen. (Rated PG)

Please note that the CD spinner craft and “Little Golden Book” activity both require registrati­on.
