February programs for children at the Blackstone Library
BLACKSTONE — On Tuesday, Feb. 13, drop in between 5 and 7 p.m. to decorate a mini-cupcake with sprinkles, frosting, M&Ms and more. No registration required, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Appropriate for all ages. Sorry, the library cannot accommodate food allergies.
• Children ages 6 and up are invited to build a marble roller coaster on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. This creative STEM activity uses paper towel tubes, paper plates and popsicle sticks, and is perfect for a glass marble. No registration required.
• “Animals That Dig” will take place on Thursday, Feb. 22. Meet a hedgehog, African bullfrog and hognosed snake in this live animal program that teaches about animals that dig and burrow. Appropriate for ages 3 and up. Two back-to-back identical programs will be held; the first at 2 p.m., the second at 3 p.m. When registering, specify which time you prefer. Registration for Blackstone residents begins on Monday, Feb. 5. Registration for all library patrons begins on Monday, Feb. 12.
• Take eggs, bread and milk, and what have you got? French toast. Drop by to make French toast with a variety of fun cookie cutter shapes on Friday, Feb. 23, from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Appropriate for ages 3 and up. No registration is required, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry, but the library cannot accommodate food allergies.
• Drop-in storytime is held every Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Join Miss Tressy for 30 minutes of your favorite picture books.
