BELLINGHAM – Stasia B. (Alexander) Szuflicki, 101, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Lydia Taft House, Uxbridge, with her loving family by her side. She is the beloved wife of the late Hipolit W. “Paul” Szuflicki.

Born in Woonsocket on May 8, 1916, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Solecka) Alexandrow­icz, she was the loving mother of Paul J. Szuflicki and his wife, Therese of Bellingham. She was the sister of Victoria Ryfa of Franklin, and the late Alfred, Joseph, Edmund and Kasimer Alexander, and Pauline Andrews. She leaves several nieces and nephews.

A resident of Bellingham for most of her life, also residing a short time in Lawrence and Haverhill, Mass, Mrs. Szuflicki worked in sales at McCarthy’s and Zayre’s. She was a member of the Polish Club in Bellingham until its closing. She was a communican­t of St. Theresa Church, Blackstone. She enjoyed sewing and shopping. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.

Funeral will . be held on Wednesday, February 28, at 8:30 a.m. from CARTIER’S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St., Bellingham, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.

Visiting time from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations in memory of Stasia B. Szuflicki to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or at www.stjude.org/tribute would be appreciate­d.
