Waterview Apartment meeting of May 29

The president opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. The treasurer’s report was accepted by Annette Blais and Leo Durand. The secretary’s report was accepted by Claudette Plante and Dottie Potter.

In April, get-well cards were sent to Terry Messier, Jeff DeBritto and Rachel Gerard. Sympathy cards were sent to Estelle Richardson, Jeanne Guilbeault and for the family of Jeannine Berard and Ed Gravel. For May, a get-well card was sent to Claudette Gravel and a sympathy card to Jeanette Whiting.

June birthdays: Sister Jackie.

July birthdays: Roger Morin, Jeanette Whiting, Claudette Gravel and Cecil Boucher.

August birthdays: Jim Curran, Rena Ethier and Bernie Gamache.

A cookout will be held on July 3 at 1 p.m. Cost is $5 for members and $7 for non-members. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

On July 24, the group will be traveling to Iggy’s. Those interested will meet in the hallway at 10:30 a.m. for a 10:45 a.m. departure. Estimated return time is 3:30 p.m. You must pay for own meal.

Helene Edmondson will be distributi­ng Farmer Market vouchers throughout June.

Split-the-pot was won by Roger Brunelle, Claire Richards, Leo Durand and Claire Laroche.

No meetings for June or July. The group’s next meeting will be Monday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m.

Delicious brownies were donated by Oakland Grove.
