Lincoln library announces August activities
LINCOLN – Lincoln Public Library has announced the following upcoming activities:
Poster Coloring for Kids
Kids ages 6 and older can drop in for a special poster coloring day on Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We’ll be providing summer-themed cardboard cut-outs and markers, while young artists use their imaginations to create colorful designs. No registration is necessary, so come in and get creative in the Children’s Room while the supplies last.
Summer Reading Wrap-up Activities
Young readers who have completed the Summer Reading Program are in- vited to come in on Aug. 24 for a fun celebration of the program finale. A library scavenger hunt will take place where kids will search for items in the library with the help of parents. Other activities include a “rock’n reader” profile that kids can complete based on their summer reading experience. Bookmarks will also be available for coloring. No registration is necessary, and the event will be taking place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Family Puzzle Day
Children and adults of all ages can test their logical skills by completing puzzles on Aug. 28 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Many different puzzles will be on hand at a variety of levels, from simple to challenging. This is a great way to exercise the mind without the use of technology. No registration is necessary.
Grab Bag Crafts for Kids
On Wednesday, Aug. 29, children ages 4 and older can come to the library from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and grab a craft to make. There will be a variety of projects guaranteed to please. No registration is required, what you take is what you make. All materials will be provided.
