WOONSOCKET — Thomas M. Kamer, 78, of Woodhaven Road, died peacefully, Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Vivian (Mathieu) Kamer.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son to the late Shookry and Eva (Doura) Kamer.

Mr. Kamer worked for Miller Electric for several years, and then worked as a manager for the former Burger King for 25 years.

He was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Kamer enjoyed watching sports, especially the New England Patriots and Red Sox. He loved to spend time with his family. He was a man who enjoyed the company of people and always would get into a conversati­on with them about a variety of subjects.

He is survived by one son, Michael G. Kamer of Foxboro, Mass., and one daughter, Lisa M. Kamer of North Scituate; one brother, Philip Kamer; and his wife, Gloria; two grandsons, Matthew and Keith Kamer of Woonsocket; three great-grandchild­ren, Addison, Sadie, and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also the father of the late Thomas L. Kamer, and brother of the late Leon, Mary and Anna Kamer.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the

S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket, RI 02895. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m.
