St. Joseph Senior meeting, Nov. 13

President Suzanne Grenier opened the meeting with a prayer for the sick, Mary Bianchino and Jeanne Barry, and for the deceased, Raymond Durand and Arthur Denomme.

Door-prize winners were Pauline Baillargeon, Helen Mumford, Claire Biron, Betty Legare and Mary Crisafulli. Raffle ticket winners were Nancy Henault who won tie, Suzanne Grenier, Roland Roy and Mary Jane St. Onge. Dollar-a-month winners for November were Bob Laplante, Jim Lemire, Louise Leblanc, Roger Dubois, Thea Barnabe, and Yoshi Loya.

Celebrating birthdays this month were Roger Marois, Adrienne Bibeault, Bob Desjardins, Susan Gamache, Helen Nichols, Fran Roy, Ronnie Thibault, Gilberte Desrosiers, Anita L’Etoile, Jeannette Lemire, Irene Frigon, Mary Bianchino, Lynne McAllister, Muriel Turcotte, Donna Grenier, Claire Brodeur, Audrey Pepin, Gloria Descouteaux, Vivian Cadieux, Pauline Belisle, Claire Biron, Doris Quinn, Eddie Carpentier, Marge Deragon, Priscilla Paulhus, Annette Philipovich, Paul Dutremble and Lucille Leferriere.

St. Joseph’s Christmas party will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25 at the Village Haven, at noon, and the dinner is both allyou-can-eat chicken and pot roast.

The group will hold a meatloaf dinner Nov. 27, at noon, in the church hall where a meeting will later take place. Tickets are $10 per person.

The election of officers was held for year 2019 and Secretary Lori Dutremble cast one vote to elect the slate which follows, for President Suzanne Grenier, Vice President Fran Roy, Second Vice President Linda Deguire, Secretary Claire Brodeur and Treasurer Pat Palardy.

Any senior is welcome to join this group. St. Joseph Seniors received a thank you letter from St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Hortense Lanois for a donation made in her name.
