St. Agatha Senior meeting

A total of 55 members gathered together to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with a turkey meal and all the fixings.

Celebrating birthdays were Olive Nichols, Lucille Lajoie, Muriel Turcotte, Doris Burrows, Claire Brodeur, Pauline Belisle, Claire Biron and Lorraine Lataille.

Dave and Noella Lavalee, as well as Charles and Claudette Desaulniers, are celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary.

A thank you card was received from Roger and Olive Nichols. Welcomed as new members were: Richard and Linda Dequire.

Monthly prize winners were Normand Piette, Gerard Robidoux, Denise Chamberlin and Claudette Desaulniers.

Door-prize winners were Roger Roy, Frances Furnell, Monique Noel and Linda Dequire.

Winners of the raffle were George Gautreau, Lucy Ciucci, Gino Orazi and Yashi Loya.

There will be no meeting this week.

Tickets for the Christmas Dinner scheduled for Dec. 12 will be on sale at the next meeting on Nov. 28.

Yearly dues and monthly club dues will also be collected. Reservations for Foxwoods, on Nov. 30, and Mohegan Sun, on Jan. 11, are being taken by Fran Roy. For more information call 401-356-1493. Need not be a member of the club to go on these trips.

The president reminded the members that a container will be on the front table to accept donations for the New Beginning Soup Kitchen until Dec. 6. These donations will take the place of exchanging gifts between members.

Winners of the special BINGO games were Jeanne Giguere, Jeannette Cousineau and Carol Jalbert. Constance Seider was the caller.

Pitch winners were Janet Lamarsh, Lucille Lajoie, Roger Roy, Martha Cote, George Racine, Bernard Dubois and George Gautreau.
