Tom Hurst and John Bessette to win its first game of the season with a 4-2 victory over Met A Division rival Burrillville on enemy ice. The Clippers tallied second session goals by Tom Warren, Steve O’Neil and Craig Gatto to take a 3-2 lead, and Jim Simmons closed out the scoring rifling a shot almost the length of the ice with the Broncos in a 6-4 man-advantage in the final minute. 1990 Tolman is off to its best start in coach Marty Crowley’s

four-year tenure as the 4-2 Tigers bested Central Falls 64-27 with relative ease in a Class B-North tilt. Amy Paquin (15 points), Jen Bergevine (13), Stephany Clyburn (12) and Holly Noiseux (7) led Tolman in scoring, while Linda Moran paced the Warriors with 15 points. “Everything was clicking for us. We shot 58 per cent from the floor, played good team defense and really controlled the boards,” Crowley said.
