Autumnfest chairman looking for help with steering committee and supporting subcommittees
WOONSOCKET — With an eye toward Autumnfest 2019 – the 41st installment of the civic bash – Autumnfest Chairman Garrett Mancieri is casting a wide net for volunteers to serve on the steering committee and its supporting subcommittees.
The Autumnfest Executive Committee is accepting applications for positions to work on fundraising, the calendar raffle, buttons, general operations, the parade, Kidsfest, sporting events, media relations, social media, vendors, grand marshal selection, park management and more.
For the first time, Mancieri said, he's planning to form a number of subcommittees for volunteers who may not have as much time to commit as a full-fledged member of the steering committee.
“Autumnfest is truly the heart and soul of this community – so much more than a Columbus Day festival,” he said. “The organization is filled with wonderful individuals who volunteer their time to better our community and most importantly unite our community. This is our chance to show the world how great and special the city of Woonsocket is and will be for many years to come.”
Anyone interested in applying is urged to e-mail Tyler Martin at secretary@autumnfest.org and a 2019 Autumnfest Steering Community member application will be sent to you. After filling it out, applicants may return the form by email or send it through the postal service to Autumnfest Steering Committee, PO Box 574, Woonsocket, RI, 02895, c/o Tyler Martin. Applications may also available to download at
Don't tarry, advises Mancieri – the deadline for consideration is Jan. 5.
