President Gerard Robidoux opened the meeting with a prayer for Vera Forcier.

Celebrating birthdays were Therese Kiczak and Maguerite Dubois.

Alice L’Heureux was introduced as a new member. A thank you letter was received from The New Beginning Family for the donation that the club gave at Christmas.

Door prize winners were Jacqueline Guevremont, Lucienne Barbeau, Claudette Desaulniers and Lucille Galipeau. Raffle winners were Monique Noel, Estelle Legare, Lucille Galilpeau and Priscille Paulhus.

The president gave the names of places where seniors can have their income tax prepared for free. If your income is less than $50,000, you can go to the CCF headquarters at. 46 Hope St., or the Community Care Alliance at 265 Main St. They will be open from Monday until Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Friday nights from 5 to 8 p.m. Interested individuals should call 401-766-3384 for VITA or 235-7224 for CCA for an appointment

The club is running a trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino on Friday, Feb. 22 and one to Atlantic City from April 14 to 16. Anyone interested should call Fran Roy at 401-356-1493.

A trip to the Boston Red Sox game on Wednesday, May 1 in being promoted by the St. Joseph Seniors. Call Suzanne Grenier at 401-766-4647 or Linda Deguire at 401-766-5879 for more information, Need not be members of these clubs to attend any of these trips. Everyone is welcome.

Winners of the special BINGO games were Gloria Belkamp, Muriel Bouthillette and Claire Biron. Constance Seider was the caller.

Pitch winners were Martha Cote, Roland Roy, George Gautreau, Normand Piette, Donat Godin and Dave Lavallee.

Tickets are on sale this week for the Wednesday, March 13 dinner. Corned beef and cabbage will be served.
